Apple unveils iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus with 3D Touch, A9 chip and 12MP iSight camera

Apple today unveiled the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus at its Hey Siri, Give us a hint event held in the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Like any other S refresh, the new iPhones have the same design language as their predecessor, and are all about major upgrades to their internal components and camera.
The new iPhones feature a 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch display, respectively, with the same resolution as their predecessor. The display is now also protected by a dual ionised glass on the front for better strength and integrity.

The highlight of the new iPhones, however, is 3D Touch, which adds a new way to interact with them. Unlike on the Apple Watch, 3D Touch is used on the new iPhones to speed up certain day-to-day tasks. For example, pressing harder on a link in Safari will open a small pop-up preview of that link without you actually having to visit it. It will also allow you to quickly peek into the content throughout the OS by pressing harder on the screen. The new iPhones also come with a new Taptic Engine to allow for better and more precise feedback when 3D Touch is used.
While the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus retain the same design as their predecessor, Apple has used stronger series 7000 free iphone data recovery aluminium shell on them to further improve their rigidity and avoid any bending issues. The inclusion the new 3D Touch chip and a stronger aluminium shell does make the new iPhones thicker, heavier and bigger than their predecessor.

The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are now powered by Apples latest generation A9 chipset, which is based on the 14nm fabrication process. The chipset comprises of two 64-bit cores which Apple says provides up to 70 percent performance improvement over its last year A8 chipset, while the GPU is up to 90 percent faster. Since Apple has integrated its A9 motion co-processor right on the A9 chipset itself, it is now always-on. This also allows the new iPhones to feature always-on Hey Siri functionality.
The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus come with second generation Touch ID sensor, which Apple says is up to 2x faster than its predecessor.
The new iPhones also feature retrieve iPhone data free a vastly improved 12MP camera sensor, which is also capable of recording videos in 4K resolution. Besides bringing a 4MP jump in resolution, the 12MP sensor features double the amount of Focus Pixels as well. The higher resolution camera sensors also allow the new iPhones to shoot videos in 4K resolution. The aperture of the new camera, however, remains the same at F/2.2, and OIS still remains exclusive to the iPhone 6s Plus.

Apple has also updated the FaceTime camera on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to a 5MP one. The new FaceTime camera can also use the display on the front of the device as a Retina flash. To take better advantage of the new cameras, Apple is also introducing Live Photo.

Apple will be offering the new iPhones in four new metal finishes: Silver, Gold, Space Gray, and a new Rose Gold Color option.
The new iPhones will now support up to 23 LTE bands through a single SKU, and support download speeds of up to 300Mbps. They now also features a faster Wi-Fi chip for higher throughout put.
Apple will also be offering a bunch of accessories with the new iPhones, including 11 new colors for its silicon case and five new leather variants for its leather case.

The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will go up for pre-order on September 12, and will hit the retail stores on September 25. By the end of this year, it will be available in 130 countries across 400 carriers.
